Ms_ Nerlatid suggested that if the Commission wished to discuss it in depth, the <br />Commission may wish to agendize the item- At that time, the merits of the issue may be <br />discussed- <br />Commissioner Maas did not wish for staff to utilize its resources for a staff report, but <br />believed the discussion would be valuable. <br />Commissioner Roberts moved to ages dize the discussion of political stances by <br />Commissions> prior to the Commission's May meeting with the City Council_ <br />Commissioner Maas seconded the motion. <br />120LL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Arkin, Maas, Roberts, and Sedlak <br />NOES- Commissioner Kameny <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Sullivan <br />The motion carried. <br />8. She <br />noted that the Events Center would come before the Coir~rnission as a Conditional Use <br />Permit, and did not believe the sign should be installed before the Events Center is there. <br />Mr_ Iserson advised that the sign would not be installed until the Events Center is under <br />construction. <br />Commissioner Roberts noted that if that were not the case, she would appeal the sign. <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Sedlak, Mr_ Iserson replied that the lighted <br />sports fields were still on the project list to be cons3dered_ <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES March 12, 2003 Page 19 <br />
