Commissioner Maas noted that this type of field being considered is artificial turf, and was <br />the current choice of most of the sports groups because of the playability acid the reduction <br />of injuries. <br />G'ommissioner Sullivan noted that City Council identified some priorities for the Energy <br />Committee to pursue, and established a category for implementing energy projects as one <br />of the highest priorities. He believed that it would be important to perform some feasibility <br />studies for high-priority projects. He proposed adding an item that would earmark money <br />to perform the energy studies. <br />Mr. Bocian advised that the studies would be included in the Operating Budget because <br />they were not tied to a specific budget. <br />Chairperson Arkin noted that PV panels on the roof of City Hall would be a specific <br />prof cct. <br />Commissioner Sullivan noted that it may include a feasibility study to do an energy <br />efficiency program, partially funded by both the City and the State, or private business. <br />Mr. Bocian noted that an energy study to examine an energy-efficient City Hall building, if <br />that building was a funded project, could be included_ He added that a general study would <br />be not included in the CIP. <br />45.
