<br />over the next four years. <br />categories as folloW's: <br /> <br />The CIP contains recommendations for funding projects In five <br /> <br />Parks - Provides for parks and park facilities development, trail development and acquisition of <br />land for park usage. Projects are funded by the CIP General Fund, Measure B trails money, In <br />Lieu Park Dedication Fees, Public Facilities Fees for portions of park projects included in the <br />1998 Development Fee Impact Report and grants. In Lieu Park Dedication Fees may only be <br />used to acquire land for park development. Public Facilities Fees are for neW' projects <br />representing development's share of project costs. <br /> <br />Miscellaneous Provides for miscellaneous projects such as non-park facilities, large <br />equipment, fencing, urban W'ater runoff projects, sound W'all construction and replacement, and <br />debt service not related to parks, streets, W'ater or seW'er projects. Projects are funded by the CIP <br />General Fund, Public Facilities Fees, urban W'ater runoff related grants, and occasionally grants <br />and developer contributions. As noted above, Public Facilities Fees are for neW' projects <br />representing development's share of project costs. <br /> <br />Streets - Provides for streets, sideW'alks, street lighting and traffic signal installation. Projects <br />are funded by the CIP General Fund, Gas Tax, Measure B streets money, federal and state <br />funding on a project specific basis, developer contributions, City Traffic Development Fees and <br />Tri-Valley Transportation Development Fees and miscellaneous grants. Gas taxes and Measure <br />B may only be used on roadW'ay improvements. Transit grants and City Traffic Development <br />Fees are generally project specific. <br /> <br />Water - Provides for major maintenance and construction of W'ater infrastructure including <br />reservoirs, tanks, pipelines, pumps, electrical systems, etc. Projects are funded by Water <br />Connection Fees, maintenance and operation fees collected from users for system maintenance, <br />developer contributions and occasionally grants. Water revenues must be used for W'ater related <br />projects. <br /> <br />SeW'er - Provides for major maintenance and construction of seW'er infrastructure including <br />pipelines, pumps, electrical systems, etc. Projects are funded by SeW'er Connection Fees, <br />maintenance and operation fees collected from users for system maintenance, developer <br />contributions and occasionally grants. SeW'er fees must be used for seW'er related projects. <br /> <br />The table beloW' illustrates the CIP revenues and expenditures in these five areas as presented in <br />the cu=ent CIP. <br /> <br />SR:05:312 <br />Page 2 <br />
