Approve the attached Communication Site Lease Agreement with Ether <br />Web Network, LLC, to locate W'ireless communications facilities at 9000 <br />Santos Ranch Road and authorize the City Manager to execute the lease. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Ether Web Network, LLC, (Ether Web) has requested authorization to lease <br />a City-owned site at 9000 Santos Ranch Road to construct transmission <br />equipment to serve the Tri-Valley area W'ith W'ireless communication <br />service. Ether Web has agreed to pay a monthly fee for the site, and to <br />dedicate oW'nership of the neW' antenna mast to the City upon termination of <br />the Lease. <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Ether Web is proposing to install a small wireless infrastructure site to provide commercial <br />non-WiFi point to point and point to multi-point Internet services on the City water reservoir <br />and pump station site at 9000 Santos Ranch Road in Alameda County. Ether Web is a small <br />startup company headquartered in Livermore. The technology and service W'ill be provided <br />commercially to companies and agencies interested in receiving Broadband Internet access, <br />remotely monitoring locations by real-time video, and W'ill also augment communication <br />capabilities of the local ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Services) group that has equipment <br /> <br />SR:05 :246 <br />Page 1 of3 <br />
