<br />BUDGET <br /> <br />The scope of services, fee schedule and consultant agreement for Bellecci & Associates are <br />attached as Exhibits A and B. Funding for the consulting fees W'ill be paid for by the <br />authorized project funds. The design cost for the landscape median and rubberized asphalt <br />overlay is $118,550 and the design cost for removal of the roundabouts is $54,168. <br /> <br />The consultant's first order of W'ork is to assist the City in applying for a State-sponsored grant <br />through the "States Integrated Waste Management Board." One of their objectives is to <br />sponsor programs to recycle used tires and include such innovative uses as rubberized mats for <br />playgrounds, gyms, roadW'ays, etc. <br /> <br />The grant available through SB 1346 has an application deadline of February 24, 2006. The <br />City has made a request for application materials. Based on the W'ebsite information, the SB <br />1346 grant ranges from $6,250 to $50,000 W'ith a minimum of use of 2,500 tons of rubberized <br />asphalt concrete. The estimated asphalt quantity for this project is 5,000 tons, W'hich equates <br />to a potential grant aW'ard of $12,500. The grant application must be accompanied by a <br />resolution approved by the City Council, W'hich could occur in January.
