CITY OF PLEASANTON
VINEYARD TRAFFIC CIRCLES

EXHIBIT A: SCOPE OF WORK

Bellecci & Associates ("CONSULTANT") is being retained by City of Pleasanton
"CITY" to prepare plans to remove two traffic circles on Vineyard Avenue and
replace with conventional roadway intersection ("PROJECT"). CITY is planning
to remove traffic circles replace with conventional roadway intersection with stop
signs and left turn pockets. Removal of traffic circles will require engineered
transitions and tapers to match the existing roadway cross section east and west
of the two traffic circles to be removed. CONSULTANT is being retained to
prepare plans, specifications and estimates for public bidding in conformance
with City of Pleasanton standards. The scope of work is described in more detail
below:

1. BASE MAPPING -

CONSULTANT will assemble and review existing data from CITY, obtain new
field data, and prepare base plans for the proposed roadway improvements.
Perform topographic field surveys and develop base plans at a scale of 1" = 20'.

1.1. Field Work - Within the project limits CONSU L T ANT will survey roadway
cross sections, intersection lane configurations, traffic circles, identify
surface evidence of existing underground and overhead infrastructure,
and other existing improvements as determined by CONSULTANT as
needed to design the roadway. The Project Engineer will supervise the
field survey to ensure the field survey includes items needed for the
design team to tie-in all affected surface conforms. CONSUTLANT
shall Perform 2 days of field surveying.

1.2. Office Mapping - The record maps combined with the field survey
information will serve as the Project Topographic Base Map. Basis of
Bearing and Benchmark will be included on the Survey. CONSULTANT
will distribute project base mapping to all design team members and
make accessible readily upon each design stage. This topographic base
map will be the uniform "x-reference" for all design work.

2. PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING

2.1. Preliminary Plans

2.1.1. Preliminary Design - CONSULTANT will prepare at 20 scale, a
preliminary design which shows the proposed intersection
geometry for removal of the Traffic Circles. The plan will identify in
a the proposed intersection geometry, lane widths, curve radii,
traffic channelization, lane tapers, design exceptions and other
information as deemed appropriate by the design team.
