3.3 Performance Based Compensation <br /> Notwithstanding other sections of this Plan, the City Manager may approve any or all <br /> the following: <br /> • An Individual Merit Increase consistent with the Management and Confidential <br /> Base Salary Plan attached as Appendix C. <br /> • Granting up to three (3) additional administrative leave days per year in instances <br /> in which a management employee devoted substantially more time during the <br /> previous year to fulfill his /her duties than was anticipated or in recognition of <br /> significant service related to program management, organizational efficiencies and <br /> cost savings. Middle management employees may be granted up to three (3) <br /> additional administrative leave days only upon the recommendation of the <br /> employee's department head. <br /> • Granting a Bonus in recognition of a management or confidential employee's <br /> specific accomplishments demonstrating exceptional and significant leadership or <br /> management related to: <br /> ➢ Completing significant community or organizational project or program; <br /> ➢ Completing a major organizational change resulting in significant cost savings; <br /> ➢ Completing a significant improvement to customer service benefiting the <br /> community or the organization. <br /> To be granted a Bonus the employee's leadership or management must be beyond <br /> the high expectations of the management staff and be for a project/program that was <br /> substantially completed during the past year. All bonuses granted shall be in the form <br /> of a one -time payment. The total of all bonuses granted shall not exceed seventy -five <br /> thousand dollars ($75,000) annually. Administration of the Bonus Program is included <br /> as Appendix F. <br /> Page 3 of 31 <br />
