<br /> 4" <br />- <br />pLfASANTONc City Council <br /> Staff Report <br /> November 15,2005 <br /> Parks and Community Services <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF PROPOSED FY 2005/2006 PARK RENOVATION <br /> FUND PROJECTS <br />PARKS AND RECREATIONS COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: <br /> The Parks and Recreation Commission, at its October 13, 2005 meeting, <br /> recommended City Council approval of the proposed list of Park Renovation <br /> Fund projects for FY 2005/2006. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff concurs with the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation <br /> Commission. <br />SUMMARY: The Park Renovation Fund, a component of the "Financing our Future" <br /> replacement plan, provides for major renovations to City parks and street <br /> medians. For FY 2005/06, approximately $113,750 has been allocated for <br /> renovation work throughout the City, in addition to the transfer of $60,000 <br /> to restore the tennis courts at Fairlands Park from a completed Capital <br /> Improvement Project (CIP) at Tennis and Community Park. The attached <br /> summaries indicate the proposed projects by location and estimated cost. <br /> The priorities used to develop this year's list are replacement of an <br /> equestrian/pedestrian footbridge ($45,000), replenishment of playground <br /> surfacing wood chip mulch ($25,000), plant and tree replacements <br /> ($19,000), irrigation system renovation ($9,750), park sidewalk repairs <br /> ($15,000), and the tennis court restoration project ($60,000). <br />SR 05:297 <br />Page I <br /> ---- <br />
