<br /> Off-site Land Use Coordination Obiective <br /> TO COORDINATE PLANNING AREA DEVELOPMENT AND ACTNITES WITH <br /> RELATED OFF-SITE LAND USES. <br /> Off-site Coordination Policy 1: Alameda County Fairgrounds. Work with representatives of <br /> the Alameda County Fairgrounds to coordinate similar use activities. <br /> Guidelines: <br /> 1.1 Establish a program between the City and the Fairgrounds for communicating and <br /> coordinating long-range schedules of activities. <br /> 1.2 Share facilities and combine activities that are jointly beneficial to the City and the <br /> Fairgrounds as opportunities arise. <br /> 1.3 Avoid the scheduling of major events that might otherwise cause traffic and/or parking <br /> conflicts. <br /> Off-site Coordination Policy 2: Bernal Property Connection to Downtown. Explore the <br /> opportunities for connecting the Bernal Property to the greater Downtown area. <br /> Guideline: <br /> 2.1 Study ways of expanding the Downtown to connect to the northeast portion of the Bernal <br /> Property as a part of the Civic Center Master Plan and next update of the Downtown <br /> Specific Plan. <br /> Voter Initiative Obiective <br /> TO ENSURE THAT ALL PLANNING WITHIN THE PHASE II SPECFIC PLAN AREA IS <br /> CONDUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH IN1TIATNES APPROVED BY THE VOTERS OR <br /> ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL. <br /> Voter Initiative Policy 1: Bernal Property Initiative (Measure V). There shall be no transfer <br /> (with or without consideration), sale, or trade of any City of Pleasant on-owned land within the <br /> boundaries ofthe Bernal Property Phase II Specific Plan Area.
