<br /> Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The Happy Valley Golf Course (Callippe Preserve) is actually a composite project of several <br /> distinct elements consisting of the following: <br /> o Offsite Water and Sewer Facilities (FERMA contract); <br /> o Open space and Environmental Preservation (FERMA contract, partial); <br /> o 34 Residential Lots (FERMA contract); <br /> o Golf Course Construction (FERMA contract); <br /> o Clubhouse and Cart Barn Construction (Lindquist contract). <br /> The purpose of this report is to accept for public use the Clubhouse and Cart Barn, which <br /> includes construction of the following elements: <br /> 1. Clubhouse -- 12,030 Square Feet <br /> o Pro Shop <br /> o Covered Patio <br /> o Kitchen <br /> o Dining room <br /> 2. Cart Barn -- 4,650 Square Feet <br /> 3. Landscape, hardscape and parking lot lighting <br /> CLUBHOUSE AND CART BARN CONSTRUCTION <br /> On October 17, 2003, City Council awarded a contract for the construction of the clubhouse <br /> and cart barn to M.A. Lindquist Co., Inc. for the low bid amount of $2,725,163. During the <br /> course of construction, contract change orders in the amount of $602,089 were authorized by <br /> the Director of Public Works. <br /> During the course of construction, there were a total of 40 change orders to the Lindquist <br /> contract. Significant changes included: <br /> o Canopy at fuel island for $373,792; <br /> o Site concrete for $43,925; <br /> o Campus alarm for $25,099; <br /> o Concrete flatwork revisions for $24,781; <br /> SR:05:305 <br /> Page 2 of3 <br />
