<br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />77. The area of the development shall be tested for strength and clarity of signal to and <br />from the area for City emergency services communications including, but not <br />limited to, City eight-hundred megahertz (800 mgh) trunked radio, Livermore- <br />Pleasanton Fire Services radio, Alameda County eight-hundred megahertz (800 <br />mgh) trunked radio, CLEMARI Police Dispatch, and the current police mobile <br />data system, unless waived by the Police Department, City of Pleasanton. Expert <br />opinions may be required in anticipation of communications difficulties inside or <br />around large structures. Mitigation plans of less than acceptable communications <br />shall be submitted to the satisfaction of the Police Department prior to approval <br />and shall be financed by the applicant immediately upon approval. <br /> <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />78. The buildings shall be equipped with automatic fire suppression systems <br />(sprinklers) as required by the Fire Department. <br /> <br />79. The applicant shall post address numerals on the building so as to be <br />plainly visible from all adjoining streets or driveways during both daylight <br />and night time hours. <br /> <br />80. The applicant shall meet all requirements of the Pleasanton Fire Code <br />(Pleasanton Municipal Code, Chapter 20.24). <br /> <br />81. The applicant shall keep the site free of fire hazards from the start of <br />lumber construction until the final inspection. <br /> <br />82. Prior to any construction framing, the applicant shall provide adequate fire <br />protection facilities, including, but not limited to surface roads, fire <br />hydrants, and a water supply and water flow in conformance to the City's <br />Fire Department Standards able to suppress a major fire. When alternate <br />methods of fire protection are approved by the Fire Chief, this requirement <br />may be waived or modified. Proposed alternative methods of fire <br />protection shall be submitted in writing to the Fire Chief prior to any <br />framing construction. Work on the alternative fire protection methods shall <br />not begin until approved by the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />83. The Fire Chief and the City Engineer shall approve the number, type, and <br />location of all public fire hydrants. <br /> <br />84. Blue street "hydrant markers" shall be installed for all fire hydrants per City <br />of Pleasanton Standard Specifications. <br /> <br />14 <br />
