<br />the City's list of approved noise consultants who shall submit a letter to the <br />Planning Department verifying that the proposed plans adhere to this requirement. <br /> <br />38. All windows and doors shall have the appropriate STC rating as indicated by the <br />Noise Study produced by C Salter as shown on Exhibit A, page 2 of the report. <br /> <br />Green Building <br /> <br />39. Prior to the issuance of a building permit, a list of green building measures to be <br />used in design of the homes covered by this approval shall be provided to the <br />Planning Department for the review and approval by the Planning Director. Each <br />home covered by this approval shall be designed to achieve a minimum of 50 <br />points using the Alameda County Waste Management's Green Points rating <br />system. Each of the proposed dwelling units shall be "green homes" with a <br />minimum of ten points in each category (Resources, Energy, and Indoor Air <br />QualitylHealth). <br /> <br />40. The proposed green building measures shall be shown on one of the first two <br />pages of the plans submitted for the issuance of a building permit. <br /> <br />41. The applicant shall implement the following measures with the construction of the <br />structures covered by this approval so that the owners can install roof-mounted <br />photovoltaic systems in the future: <br /> <br />a. Electrical conduit and cable shall be installed from the roof/attic areas to <br />the buildings' main electrical panels; <br /> <br />b. Roof trusses shall be "engineered" to handle an additional load as <br />determined by a structural engineer to accommodate the additional <br />weight of a prototypical photovoltaic system beyond that anticipated for <br />roofing; <br /> <br />c. An area shall be provided near the electrical panel for the "inverter" <br />required to convert the direct current output from the photovoltaic <br />panels to alternating current; and <br /> <br />d. A bi-directional electrical meter shall be installed. <br /> <br />These measures shall be shown on the building permit plan sets. The applicant <br />shall provide to the future homebuyers the necessary information delineating the <br />means by which photovoltaic panels can be applied to the roofs of the structures <br />covered by this approval. This information shall be submitted to the Director of <br />Planning for review and approval prior to occupancy of the fIrst unit, if required. <br /> <br />8 <br />
