<br />areas are conceptual only and may change subject to the outcome of the Specific Plan..." <br />The Staples Ranch proposal is being discussed as part of a series of General Plan Land Use <br />Joint Workshops because it raises issues related to the location of land uses and the <br />definition of housing units under the residential cap. However, since no amendment to the <br />General Plan is required, staff believes this project could move forward independent of the <br />General Plan update. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Receive information and a presentation from Alameda Surplus Land Authority and <br /> potential developers <br /> 2. Provide feedback regarding: affordable units; community park; land use concept; <br /> Stoneridge Drive; any other issues. <br /> 3.
