CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1813 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING TIlE PREZONING AND <br />REZONING FOR THE BERNAL PROPERTY SPECIFIC <br />PLAN AREA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton has applied to prezone and rezone to the PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development) District, to Public Institutional, and to PUD - Transportation <br />Corridor, the 510_+ acre Bemal Property Specific Plan area located on both sides of <br />1-680, south of Bernal Avenue, as indicated on Exhibit A; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Plcasanton certified the Final EIR for this project on February 15, 2000; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission, lbllowing several noticed public hearings, found the <br />prezoning and rezoning districts/designations for the Bemal Property Specific Plan <br />Area to be consistent with the Pleasanton General Plan and Bemal Property <br />Specific Plan Area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after holding a noticed public hearing on August 21, 2000, and after considering all <br />public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of City staff concerning <br />this proposal, the City Council determined that the prezoning and rezoning of the <br />subject properties to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) District, Public and <br />Institutional and the PUD - Transportation Corridor would provide the Bemal <br />Property Specific Plan area the opportunity to develop in conformance with the <br />land use designations and policies of the General Plan and the Bemal Property <br />Specific Plan and in confom~ance with the prevailing development patterns of the <br />surrounding area. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
