1. All fire protection and fire alarm systems shall be supervised to a Underwriters Laboratory <br />(UL) Central Station Service. Valve monitoring, water-flow alan(s), FM 200 system(s), and <br />trouble signal(s) etc. shall be distinctly different and shall be automatically transmitted to an <br />approved Undep,vriters Laboratory (UL) Central Station Service as specified in NFPA 72- <br />1996 Edition. <br /> <br />2. All Fire alarm system(s) alarm initiation and signaling shall comply with the <br />provisions in Uniform Fire Code Section 1007.3.3.3. <br /> <br />Valve monitoring and water-flow alarm and trouble signals shall be distinctly different and <br />shall be automatically transmitted to an approved central station, remote station or proprietary <br />monitoring station as defined by national standards, or, when approved by the building official <br />with the concurrence of the chief of the fire department, sound an audible signal at a <br />constantly artended location. <br /> <br />· 20.08.045 - Amended - Section 904.1.2 Standards - Fire Extinguishina Systems. <br /> <br />Section 90& 1.2 of the California Building Standards Code 1998 Edition (24 C.C.R.), and <br />including by reference the Uniform Building Code Parts 1, 2, and 3 is amended to read as <br />tbllows: <br /> <br />Standards. Fire-extinguishing systems shall comply with City of Pleasanton Sprinkler <br />Standard 9-3 (NFPA 13D 1999 Edition) for one to fifteen family dwelling units (not exceeding <br />12,000 sf in any one building), and UBC Standard 9-1 for all other occupancies. <br /> <br />· 20.08.049 Amended City of Pleasanton Sprinkler Standard 9-3: <br /> <br />UBC Section 902-Staadards of Quality ' ~' . . <br />1. This Standard includes installation of fire sprinkler systems in buildings up m <br />fifteen (15) units and up m a maximum of twelve thousand (12,000) square feet maximum. <br /> <br /> <br />
