<br />expressed concerns about tandem parking. He is concerned that residents will park on <br />the street instead of tandem in their respective driveways. He believes that the tandem <br />parking may impact on-street business-related parking in the Downtown. A copy of Mr. <br />Bryd's letter dated "November 30, 2004" is attached for the Commission's information. <br />Also attached is a letter dated "January 5, 2005" which Mr. Byrd sent to Peter <br />MacDonald of the PDA (see Exhibit G). <br />2. Emil and Margie Oxsen, 730 Peters Avenue, Pleasanton. They believe the heritage <br />walnut tree is grand and beautiful and should not be removed. With the initial house plan <br />submittal, they were disappointed about the cookie-cutter like design of the homes. A <br />copy of their letter dated "Received December 1, 2004" is attached for the Commission's <br />information (see Exhibit H). <br />3. Jim Allen, 480 St. John Street, Pleasanton. He is concerned that units are so similar in <br />design. He stated that the development looks like production housing. He stated that this <br />is a very visible part of Pleasant on and more attention should be paid to the proposed <br />design. <br />4. Art Dunkley, 239 Main Street, Pleasanton. In his opinion, carports are appropriate in the <br />Downtown. He would rather see garages. He would like the Historic Pleasanton <br />Committee to review this project. Staff notes that this Committee was created several <br />years ago to assist staff with the Historic Preservation Ordinance. He also had concerns <br />about the initial designs of the units. He made verbal comments to staff and submitted a <br />letter dated "Received January 24, 2005" (see Exhibit I). He also noted that the owner of <br />the vacant lot to the west is Mr. Hansen, and not Vizzolini as shown on the plans. <br />5. Ezekiel Palma, 3275 Monaghan Street, Dublin. He submitted a letter in support of the <br />project. He grew up in Pleasanton and would like to purchase a starter home in <br />Pleasanton. He submitted a letter to staff dated "Received April 12, 2005" (see Exhibit <br />J). <br />6. Chris Hann, no address listed. He submitted a letter in support of the project. He grew <br />up in Pleasanton and works for the Alameda County Fire Department. He would like to <br />purchase an affordable home in Pleasanton. He submitted a letter dated "Received April <br />13,2005" (see Exhibit L). <br />7. Howard Merrill, 568 St. John Street, Pleasanton. He left a message stating that there are <br />several visitors at the town homes across the street from the project site and he is <br />concerned about an increase in on-street parking and traffic. <br />8. Mr. and Ms. Palma, 226 Eaton Road, #3, San Mateo. They submitted a letter in support <br />ofthe project.
