ATTACHMENT F

Junior Golf

CourseCo considers junior golf programs to be a critical element
of municipal golf course management. We have developed,
supported and established youth and junior programs at every
course we operate. We believe that golf can and should be
accessible to all regardless of income, ethnicity or geographic
location.

CourseCo has demonstrated a commitment to bringing young
golfers to the game. The combined CourseCo"facility junior golf
programs instruct and mentor over 1,800 youth annually. Six of
our facilities actually function as official city Parks and
Recreation Department golf programs.

Initiatives such as the Eagles Program at Rancho del Pueblo Golf
Course in San Jose are designed specifically to provide access,
teach, equip. and encourage economically disadvantaged youth
the game of golf. Open to all youth in the San Jose metropolitan
area, the program is aimed at reaching the sociO-economic
challenged youth of the city.

Rancho del Pueblo works in conjunction with the San Jose
Sports Authority to support this youth program and to assist in
introducing the game of golf to young people who might not
otherwise have access to the sport. Along with receiving golf
instruction from PGA and LPGA professionals, the free 16-
session program places special emphasis in teaching life skills
such as integrity, responsibility, etiquette and self-confidence,
skills that are leamed and practiced while playing the game of
golf. To date, there have been 201 graduates (141 boys and 60
girls) from the Eagles at Rancho del Pueblo.

Upon completion of the Eagles program, graduates will have
eamed their Continued Access Privileges (CAP) Card. This card
allows continued access to the golf course and driving range for
graduates for up to one year.

. May hit up to 25 small buckets of golf balls at no cost;
. May play up to 25 rounds of golf for $1.00 per round.

The first year-and-a-half the Eagles at Rancho del Pueblo was
funded by the USGA. Last year, the NCGA funded the program,
and the 2004 Eagles will be funded by proceeds from last
summer's SSC San Jose Classic Golf Tournament at Cinnabar
Hills.
