LEASA <br />TO <br />, <br />\, <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br />September 20, 2005 <br />Public Works Department <br />SUBJECT: INITIATION OF ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS FOR <br />ANNEXATION NO. 151 (DUTRA PROPERTY) <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action at the <br />meeting of September 20, 2005: <br />1. Adopt a resolution of application to LAFCo for annexation of <br />approximately 11.65 acres to the City of Pleasanton. <br />2. Adopt a resolution agreeing to the exchange of property tax revenue <br />under the standard property tax exchange formula. <br />3. Direct staff to notify the applicant that they are required to prepare the <br />necessary maps and pay all the required annexation fees. <br />SUMMARY The proposed annexation consists of 11.65 acres located at 1053 Happy <br />Valley Road, just west of Alisal Street. In 1998, the City adopted the <br />Happy Valley Specific Plan, which included this parcel. The Specific Plan <br />was adopted in conjunction with pre - zoning of this area. If Council desires <br />to proceed with this request, the next step in the process is the adoption of <br />resolutions requesting initiation of the annexation and agreeing to the <br />exchange of property tax revenue for the proposed annexation. <br />SR:05:254 <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />
