SECTION D: WORK PLAN <br /> <br />Three broad areas of technical GIS consulting underscore this RFQ: A) ongoing maintenance, 2) <br />general GIS consulting services, and 3) a workplan for Enterprise GIS development. <br /> <br />A) On~oin~ Maintenance <br /> <br />Ongoing maintenance of the existing map features including basemap, parcel polygons, street <br />centerlines and infrastructure, has been an art in which the Lynx Technologies staff is well <br />practiced. We have worked with the City for four years developing timely updates and <br />maintenance procedures. We have proven that a 30/60-day update cycle of all theme feature <br />classes is feasible, and that weekly progress reports using the City's Track-Itl application is a <br />successful communication tool for the two facilities. Indeed, the synergy between Lynx and the <br />City has been one example of a successful public/private partnership. Moreover, our familiarity <br />with the City's data and current maintenance work flow, as well as the dose working <br />relationship established with the City of Livermore, reflects the lowest possible risk/investment <br />for continued success. <br /> <br />We believe that the strength in our communication with the City GIS staff stems from several <br />factors: <br /> <br /> 1) Lynx/City staffhave a near one-m-one communication network; there is a Lynx staff <br /> member for each City staff member assigned to a specific specialty, <br /> <br /> 2) Direct communication between the Lynx staff actually doing the work and the City staff <br /> managing the work. <br /> <br /> 3) Regular monthly meetings to coordinate all GIS-related work, and systematic procedures <br /> to exchange data <br /> <br /> 4) Internal Lynx staffmeetings each month to exchange meeting minutes after each onsite <br /> mapbook meeting. <br /> <br /> The following data sets will be maintained: <br /> <br /> Parcel Basemap Street Centerlines <br /> Parcel Polygons CAD/NAD27 Version 1 <br /> Parcel Lotlines GIS/NAD83 Version 2 <br /> Easements <br /> Street Improvements: Utilities <br /> Edge-of-Pavement Water <br /> Face-of-Curb Sanitary Sewer <br /> Back-of-Waik Storm Drain <br /> Medians Storm Drain Basins* <br /> Situs Address Annotation <br /> Street Name Annotation (multiple scales) *Once its completed <br /> <br /> Lynx Technologies Cffv of Pleasanton GIS Page I0 of 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
