,, Bernal Property - Plan for the future development of the Bemal property, which includes 300 <br /> acres of City-owned property for public use. <br />,, General Plan - Complete a comprehensive update to the City's General Plan and coordinate <br /> the remaining development in the City as it approaches General Plan buildout. <br />· City Finances - Plan for and react to future State fiscal issues; maintaining the City's fiscal <br /> sustainability. <br />· Affordable Housing - Address affordable housing issues; where and how to plan for it. <br />· Traffic - Implement improved traffic circulation measures. <br />· Callippe Golf Course and Happy Valley Open Space - Complete the Callippe Golf Course <br /> including a solution to the bypass road. <br />· Economic Development - Pursue economic vitality including the recruitment and retention of <br /> quality businesses. <br />· Youth Programs - Strengthen youth programs, services and activities. <br />· Public Safety - Provide a safe environment for the people and property in Pleasanton. <br />· Quality of Life - Provide programs and services that enhance the quality of life for <br /> Pleasanton residents. <br />· Environmental Awareness - Pursue environmental awareness, health, land use and <br /> preservation issues. <br />· City Services - Provide effective and efficient municipal services. <br />· Public Information - Develop a comprehensive public information program. <br /> <br />Due to a councilmember vacancy at that time, the Council indicated it would conduct an <br />additional review of the work plan after the June 7 election. To that end, the work plan was <br />distributed to all City Councilmembers with the request to identify any changes. Mr. Thorne was <br />provided material and asked to rank all projects. <br /> <br /> The result of this process is included as Attachment A. Project that could be moved to a priority <br /> (i.e., those projects that went from less than three votes to three votes), are highlighted with a <br /> red number. Any change of project priority by a Councilmember is also highlighted in red. Any <br /> change to a project description is highlighted in green. <br /> <br /> Staff anticipates the Council will review all projects allowing Councilmember Thorne an <br /> opportunity to provide any information regarding his prioritization and other Councilmembers <br /> and opportunity to detail any changes or modifications. Following the completion of this <br /> process, the Council may elect to adopt the changes at this special meeting or direct staffto <br /> place the matter on the next City Council meeting.
