EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />Replacement of Sewer Facilities at Various Locations and <br />Installation of New Water Facilities at Longview Drive <br /> <br />Scope of Services <br />Project understanding <br />The tasks in this scope of work are based on the "Scope of Work" outlined in the City's Request for Proposal <br />(RFP) dated May 19, 2005. We have included the various items of work to be performed, any assumptions <br />made, a detailed list of deliverables for each of the tasks, and any optional services that Pakpour Consulting <br />Group is prepared to provide. The tasks shown below correlate directly to the tasks shown on the budget <br />spreadsheet for the project, and together form the basis for final contract negotiations and components of <br />project management as outlined above. <br /> <br /> 1.0 Kick-Off Meeting, City of Pleasanton and Consultant Team <br /> Upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed, Pakpour Consulting Group will set up one kick-off meeting with <br /> City staff to discuss the detailed scope of work and schedule of milestone dates for the project. <br /> Attendees will include representatives from our project team and City staff members. There will be a <br /> discussion of project background, review of objectives, budget, design criteria, hydraulic modeling <br /> requirements, permit requirements, and any time critical elements that may require early lead-time or <br /> mitigation. <br /> <br /> Deliverables: Meeting Minutes <br /> <br /> 2.0 Meetings with City Staff <br /> Pakpour Consulting Group will conduct meetings with City staff at the following milestones: Midway <br /> through preliminary design work, after submittal of preliminary design report, and 50%, 90% detail <br /> design review stages. Reviews will be performed by the City on preliminary design, 50% and 90% <br /> design. <br /> <br /> Deliverables: Meeting Minutes <br /> <br /> 3.0 Verification of Record Information & Topographic Survey <br /> Pakpour Consulting Group's team will research City, County and State records for "As-Built" <br /> improvement plans, reports, studies and other data that may be pertinent to the project. Local <br /> agencies in the area that have recently completed similar projects will be contacted for input. Pot <br /> holing of critical utility crossings will be done during the design phase to resolve potential conflicts. <br /> Based on right-of-way records, Pakpour Consulting Group will prepare the required easement <br /> documents (up to 5 plats) for the installation of the water line along Longview Drive. <br /> Topography will be established and tied to horizontal and vertical control by our subconsultant, <br /> Guida Surveying. The scope of the survey work will consist of providing reference points, topographic <br /> information, establishment and listing of benchmarks and field monuments, site data control, and <br /> utility location and invert elevations. Existing right-of-way and adjoining property information will be <br /> obtained and shown on the project base map. <br /> <br /> Deliverables: Water Easement Plat and Legal Descriptions, Survey Base Map <br /> <br /> 7-1 <br /> <br /> <br />
