each middle school; one alternate youth representative from each high school, including <br />representation from Village High School; one at-large parent representative from each school-age <br />level (elementary, middle, and high school); a senior representative; and a health and crisis <br />representative. <br /> <br />In concert with the City's call for board and commission members, the City advertised for <br />applicants to apply to the vacant positions on the YMPIC committee. A subcommittee of the <br />YMPIC was established to conduct interviews. Several applications were submitted; applicant <br />interviews were conducted in May. The subcommittee made a recommendation to the full <br />YMPIC. Following their support, Patty Powers, chair of the YMPIC brought the issue before <br />the PUSD Liaison Committee to ratify the recommended representatives. <br /> <br />Below are listed the recommended representatives who have been selected to serve for the <br />upcoming school year: <br /> <br />Foothill High School Christine Chen, rep; Casey Ellgas, alternate <br />Amador High School Eric Hong, alternate <br />Pleasanton Middle School Daniel Sakaria, rep <br />Harvest Park Middle School Angelina Sangiacomo, rep <br />Hart Middle School Kuo Suyeu, rep <br />High School Parent Rep Christine Chase <br /> <br />The committee will coordinate advertising for the vacant positions with the City's next board and <br />commission recruitment cycle. <br /> <br />At this time, both the City Council and the PUSD Board of Trustees are being asked to ratify the <br />list of recommended representatives at each of their respective meetings. The City Council will <br />consider the matter at the July 19 meeting.
