The vendors were evaluated using the following criteria: · Hardware/software <br /> · System capabilities <br /> · Customer service <br /> · Pricing <br /> <br />Finance selected Netvantage as the top candidate. Although their pricing was higher than the <br />lowest bidder, they were the only vendor that could offer an integrated cashiering and remittance <br />processing solution. Netvantage is an established and well-respected company with a proven <br />track record of successful implementations. Among some of their satisfied customers are the <br />City and County of San Francisco, East Bay Municipal Utility District, Alameda County and <br />City of Fresno. <br /> <br />The Netvantage system will allow the City to process payments using current technology. Cash <br />receipts can be electronically uploaded daily to our financial and Utility Billing systems. An <br />electronic upload to the financial system will save staff time and is far more efficient and <br />accurate than the hand posting that is currently done. In addition, the cashiering and remittance <br />processing of payments will also reduce input errors, save significant time and improve <br />customer service. <br /> <br />The system automatically reads the amount of the check and verifies that the cashier has entered <br />the correct amount. Checks are automatically endorsed, the checks are totaled and the bank <br />deposit prepared. The checks are scanned and stored for future research needs. The system <br />provides security by requiring all cashiers to be screened through thumb print recognition <br />technology before gaining access to the system. Each transaction therefore is associated with <br />an individual cashier. <br /> <br /> The implementation of the Netvantage system can be completed in 30 days. Netvantage <br /> included three days of onsite training in their bid. After the implementation Netvantage staff <br /> will be on site to provide further training and assistance during the transition. <br /> <br /> The new cashiering system will provide a vital function for the City and its customers. <br /> Netvantage provides a cashiering solution that incorporates the latest technology, saves times <br /> and improves the accuracy of financial data. <br /> <br /> SR 05:191 <br /> Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
