Workshop Call to Order/Meeting Open to the Public <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Jennifer Hosterman. <br /> <br />Those in attendance were: City Councilmembers Steve Brozosky, Cindy McGovern, Matt <br />Sullivan, and Mayor Jennifer Hosterman; Parks and Recreation Commissioners Jim Dibiase, <br />Karen Ellgas, Kurt Kummer, Kathy Narum, Jerry Pentin and Jerry Thorne <br /> <br />Staff members present were: Nelson Fialho, City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; <br />Jen~ Iserson, Planning Director; Wayne Rasmussen, and Michael Fotheringham. <br /> <br />2. Presentation and Discussion Regarding the Bernal Property_ (SR 05:131) <br /> <br />Jerry Iserson introduced consultants, Wayne Rasmussen and Michael Fotheringham. <br /> <br />Wayne Rasmussen presented the staff report, including the five site plan alternatives and <br />two alternatives for the community park. <br /> <br />Mr. Kummer believed that a major part of future planning involved the ACE train station. <br />He asked if the station were not placed on the Bernal property, would there be ramifications <br />due to prior agreements? <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman indicated there are on-going discussions with the County of Alameda. <br />There must be an environmental impact report (EIR) process for the Bernal property and it <br />will analyze the property with and without the station. Many questions will be answered in <br />that process, so we don't have to deal with them right now. <br /> <br />Mr. Fialho explained there was an agreement executed as part of the preannexation of the <br />Bernal property that required the City of Pleasanton to consider the placement of an ACE <br />station on the Bernal property. That has been done throughout the planning process and will <br />be included in the EIR process.
