Bemal Property Specific Plan Amendment. <br />The folloWing policy is edded after Parks Policy 3 on page 3 -21 of the August 2 I. 2000 hemal Properl3, Specific <br />Plan: <br /> <br />Paxks Policy 3A: Preservation of Community Park Site. <br /> a. The 30-50 acre community park described in Pare Policy 3 shall be located within the area shown in <br />the cross-hatched area on the map attached. That map is made e part of the hemal Property Spccific Plan. <br /> b. The City shell approve no land t~es that are incompatiblc with use of the community park for lighted <br />spo~s fields, outdoor amphitheah'es, amplified sound, and other uses typically found in a large communivy park. <br /> c. The City shall adopt a relator plan fez the community perk in order that compatibility of proposed <br />nearby uses can be compared with real plane for the commmaty park. <br /> d. Development of the fa'st phase of the community park shall be given the hi,lest reasonable priority in <br />development of the Bemal site. <br /> e. Nothing in this Policy shall limit the discretiou of the City to locate additional park uses in areas <br />outside thc coranunity pa~k overlay clls~ci. <br /> <br />Notlee of Intent to Circulate Petition <br /> <br />Notice is hereby given by the persons whose names appear he,eon of their intention to circulate the'petition within <br />thc City of Pleasanton for thc purpose of amending the Bemal Property Specific Plan. A statement of the reasor, s <br />for thc p~oposed action as comemplatcd in the petition is as follows: <br /> <br /> I ) Our kids and spot'ls groups canuot Eud sufficient fields for practice and games. <br /> 2) The original direction ~om City Council was that a master plan for thc community park would be <br />adopted and lighted eporis fields would be installed before residential encroachment made community park uses <br />'controversial.
