The subject project consisted of installing new joint trench utilities as part of the Vineyard
Avenue re-alignment. The work included trenching and installing conduits and vault structures
for electric, telephone, cable and gas systems. This project replaces existing overhead utilities
(electrical, telephone and cable) with underground facilities from Pietronove Lane along Old
Vineyard Avenue to the western edge of the school site (Brozosky Hill Lane) within the
Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan area. Overhead wires and utility poles along this
stretch of roadway will be removed once full conversion to the underground utilities is
effected. From the school site easterly on Old Vineyard Avenue, electrical distribution lines
share utility poles with electrical transmission lines (60kV) that will not be placed
underground; therefore, utility undergrounding along this stretch of Old Vineyard Avenue will
not occur with Specific Plan Improvements.

BUDGET

This project is a part of the Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan improvements and has
been funded utilizing Specific Plan fees collected to-date.
