priority. The Owner reserves the right to negotiate the terms with one or more contractors. The Owner <br />also reserves the right to reject some or all proposals, in whole or in part. The following is the time line <br />of the Owner in the selection process: <br /> <br />Mandatory Site Visit April 7, 2005 - (Sign in at 8:00 a.m. at 3333 Busch Rd.) <br />Proposals received by 2:00 p.m. on April 29, 2005 (City Clerk's Office) <br />Interviews of qualifying Contractors the week of May 9th, 2005 <br />Final decision of selected Contractor May 27, 2005 <br />Selected Contractor recommendation to City Council June 7th <br />Contract awarded week of June 27, 2005 <br /> <br />1-06. WITHDRAW OF PROPOSALS AFTER OPENING <br /> <br />No contractor may withdraw his/her proposal for a period of 60 calendar days after the date set for the <br />opening thereof, and the same shall be subject to acceptance by the Owner during this period. <br /> <br />1-07. EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br /> <br />The form of agreement, which the successful contractor will be required to execute, is included in the <br />Contract Documents and must be carefully examined by each contractor. The contractor to whom the <br />contract is awarded by Owner shall, within ten (10) calendar days after notice of award, execute and <br />deliver to Owner one (1) original and one (1) counterpart of the Agreement. <br /> <br />1-08. PERFORMANCE BOND <br /> <br />At or prior to the delivery of the signed agreements, the contractor shall deliver to the Owner a <br />PERFORMANCE bond as is required by the General Conditions. Bond shall be in a form satisfactory <br />to the Owner, and shall be in the amount equal to TEN PERCENT (10%) of the annual contract. The <br />owner shall hold the bond for a period of 90 days after the scheduled commencement of the contract. <br />The City Attorney of the City of Pleasanton shall approve all bonds before the successful contractor may <br />proceed with the work. Failure or refusal to furnish bonds in the form satisfactory to the City Attorney <br />of the City of Pleasanton shall subject the contractor to penalties for delay in commencement of the <br />work or revocation of the award of contract. <br /> <br />1-09. INSURANCE <br /> <br />At or prior to the delivery of the signed agreement, the contractor shall deliver to the Owner the policies <br />of insurance or insurance certificates as are required by the General Conditions. The Director of Public <br />Works of the City of Pleasanton shall approve all policies or certificates of insurance before successful <br />contractor may proceed with the work. Failure or refusal to furnish insurance policies or certificates in <br />the form satisfactory to the Director of Public Works of the City of Pleasanton shall subject the <br />contractor to penalties for delay in commencement of the work. <br /> <br />1-10. CONTRACTORS INTERESTED IN MORE THAN ONE PROPOSAI, <br /> <br />No person, firm or corporation shall be allowed to make or file or be interested in more than one (1) <br />proposal for the same work, unless alternative proposals are called for.
