SCOPE OF WORK

horizontal locations travel lanes, and proposed median
improvements.

3.2. Right of Way - CONSULTANT will show existing right of way on the
project base map. Our understanding is that the right of way for this
project is already determined and is available on CAD. We also
understand that this project will not require right of way acquisition.

3.3. Stakeholders Meeting - Our understanding is that the City does not
desire a formal public involvement process. The public involvement will
be limited to a one-on-one stakeholder meeting at the site. More
specifically, City may ask Consultant to join a meeting with a few
residents at the site that may have expressed some concern.

4. 50% SUBMITTAL

The purpose of this project is to perform the detailed design of the project, obtain
design approval, and produce the construction drawings, special provisions, and
construction estimates required for the construction documents. The construction
documents will cover the work necessary to bid, construct, and put into operation
the proposed facilities.

The plans, specifications and estimates are to be prepared in accordance with
the latest City of Pleasanton Standard Plans and Specifications and
supplemented by Caltrans standards. Work not covered by these "manuals" shall
be designed in substantial conformance with accepted professional standards.

Consultant shall prepare design and prepare plans, specifications, and estimates
for the median widening on Vineyard, park strip planting on Vineyard, and
rubberized asphalt concrete on Bernal. Included in the attachments section is an
example of rubberized asphalt concrete specifications. The plans should include
landscape, irrigation, civil engineering items, and signing & striping. Since there
is already irrigation equipment at the site, we assume that there is already an
electrical service for the project. Therefore, no electrical engineering is needed.

CONSULTANT will prepare detailed Engineer's Estimates for the project,
including construction cost, and right-of-way acquisition cost. Detailed estimates
shall be prepared and submitted with review PS&E and 50%, 95% and 100%
completion. The project shall be designed using units in United States Standard
Measures (English Units). Construction specifications shall be provided for all
work undertaken in this project.
