CITY OF PLEASANTON
VINEYARD & BERNAL AVENUES STREETSCAPE
MAY 25,2004

A. SCOPE OF WORK

We would also ask GEl to provide demolition coring so that our
demolition plan would identify pavement thickness for construction.

2.1.4. Preliminary Landscape Surveys - Consultant will provide a basic
site investigation and evaluation of existing landscape conditions
and report their suitability with respect to protection or removal.
Included with this investigation is the identification of any existing
trees requiring removal or protection.

2.2. Office Mapping - The aerial topography map combined with the field
survey information will serve as the Project Topographic Base Map. Basis
of Bearing and Benchmark will be included on the Survey.

CONSULTANT will distribute project base mapping to all design team
members and make accessible readily upon each design stage. This
topographic base map will be the uniform "x-reference" for all design
work. Topographic base mapping will be updated for all CONSULTANT
Team members at the beginning of each design phase.

2.3. Utility Coordination & Mapping

2.3.1.

USA Markings - The pavement corings required for the
Geotechnical Report will have additional value, they will cause USA
markings in the street. USA markings are extremely valuable
information for utility mapping. The USA markings will be added to
the plans by CONSULTANT design engineers. The Bellecci
engineers are required to visit the site frequently to review utilities,
especially when the project site is 2.2 miles from Chabot office.

2.3.2.

Prepare Utility Relocation Exhibit -After verification of the utility
locations via field survey and mapping acquired from each
respective Utility, CONSULTANT will prepare Utility Relocation
Plan Base Map. The existing utilities will be shown and identified
and new locations identified for relocation.

We will first send request letters to each Utility Company to acquire
their design. The letters shall identify what improvement is in
conflict with the Preliminary Design, identify that the utilities are
within the public right-of-way, and provide tentative schedules for
construction timeline. Once notification occurs CONSULTANT will
host a meeting with the Utilities and the City to coordinate design
and relocation efforts in accordance with the Project Schedule.

Assoc n INC.

4
