<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-91-29 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AS FILED UNDER <br />CASE UP-91-08 FOR PLEASANTON AUTO REPAIR AND SERVICE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Pleasanton Auto Repair and Service has applied for a <br />conditional use permit to operate an automobile repair <br />facility in a building located at 3880 Old Santa Rita <br />Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) <br />- Commercial service District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of April 24, 1991, <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the city staff <br />concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning commission made the following findings: <br /> <br />A. The proposed location of the conditional use is in <br />accordance with the objectives of the zoning <br />ordinance and the purpose of the district in which <br />the site is located. <br /> <br />One of the objectives of the zoning ordinance is to <br />ensure that public and private lands are used for <br />purposes which are beneficial to the city as a <br />whole. As conditioned, the proposed use would <br />provide a beneficial service to the community. The <br />proposed use can be accommodated on the project <br />site and is compatible with other automobile- <br />related uses within the immediate area. <br /> <br />B. The proposed location of the conditional use and <br />the conditions under which it would be operated or <br />maintained will not be detrimental to the public <br />health, safety, or welfare, or materially injurious <br />to the properties or improvements in the vicinity. <br /> <br />As conditioned, the majority of automobile repair <br />activities shall be performed indoors within the <br />work bays. Outdoor minor automobile repairs would <br />be permitted within the designated striped area. <br />These outdoor repairs would be limited minor, <br />service-oriented repairs and those which do not <br />involve the use of hazardous materials or liquids. <br />As a result of the limitations to the type of <br />repairs permitted outdoors and the specific area <br />where they may be performed, there would be no <br />
