PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 91-16 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING CANCELLATION OF THE WILLIAMSON ACT FOR THE BONDE RANCH WHEREAS, a request and petition for cancellation of AgricUltural Preserve Contract on the Bonde Ranch property was filed with the City of Pleasanton on behalf of the owner of the property, which is located on the northerly and southerly sides of Bernal Avenue, approximately 2,250 feet southeasterly of Sunol Boulevard; and WHEREAS, the property involved is all within the city limits of the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was called and duly noticed for this date; and WHEREAS, the Planning commission has reviewed and considered the Environmental Impact Report for the Bonde Ranch Projects (PUD-90-18l which analyzed the environmental effects of the proposed Bonde Ranch PUD residential project and the loss of agricultural lands, and therefore, no additional environmental review is required; and WHEREAS, the Planning commission made the following findings: Cancellation of the williamson Act for the Bonde property is consistent with the purposes of the williamson Act. A. The cancellation is for land on which a Notice of Non-Renewal has been served pursuant to section 51245. A Notice of Non-Renewal of the contract was filed with Alameda County in February, 1988 and became effective on January 1, 1989. Therefore, the Notice of Non-Renewal has been served pursuant to section 51245 of the Government Code. (All references hereafter to code sections are to the Government Code.) B. The cancellation is not likely to result in the removal of adjacent lands from agricultural use. Existing single-family residential neighborhoods surround the Bonde property on three sides: to the west and southwest are the recent Diamond Collection and Ventana Hills developments; to the east is the now-developing Kottinger Ranch
