site drainage shall be directed toward the street or
storm drain system.

d. Landscaping and walks shall be installed so that the
surface drainage system is not disrupted.

e. The applicant shall prepare lot drainage requirements for
review and approval of the City Engineer and Planning
Director prior to any final map approval and shall
include them in the CC&R's for the project.

f. The applicant's geotechnical engineer shall conduct a
detailed technical analysis in order to evaluate the
effectiveness of various foundation designs.

g. The expansive and/or corrosivity nature of the soil shall
be determined prior to grading by laboratory testing.

h. After rough grading has been completed the soil on each
lot shall be evaluated by the soil engineer for expansion
potential with the aid of additional laboratory testing.
The results of this evaluation (i.e. uplift pressures)
shall be incorporated into the final foundation design
for each lot.

18. seismic Activity

a. In conjunction with any tentative map application, all
active faults which could impact the site through strong
ground shaking shall be tabulated. The maximum credible
earthquake magnitudes shall be listed as well as the peak
horizontal ground accelerations which can be expected to
impact structures. The peak and repeatable horizontal
ground accelerations which can be expected to impact the
site should be evaluated to determine requirements for
building design based on minimum Uniform Building Code
Requirements.

b. All potentially active faults shall be identified on the
site and included with any tentative map application.
Geologic investigations, including trenching, shall be
conducted by the certified engineering geologist to
confirm the absence of boundaries before permitting
construction of structures for human occupancy within
zone boundaries. The certified engineering geologist
shall recommend necessary setbacks.

c. Roads, bridges, and utility lines which cross an active
fault trace shall be designed and constructed in a manner
that recognizes potential surface displacement during a
Magni tude 6.3 event. Water, gas, and electric lines

ReSOlution No. PC-91-9
February 27, 1991
