She was concerned that by getting infrastructure they might be <br />destroying what they are trying to preserve. The other thing that bothered her was density issues <br />and the lack of traffic studies. <br /> <br />Commissioner Horan expressed concern as to what would go to the Committee for study and what <br />would go to staff. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hovingh said he was offended by comments tonight depicting the property owners as <br />"ogres". He felt the landowners had every right to be concerned with and have input as to what <br />happens to their property. <br /> <br />Commissioner Michelotti referred to the ballot language and said she did not like the phrase <br />"Ridgelands Protection Area", but would rather see the "Ridgelands Specific Plan Study Area". <br /> <br />Commissioner Hovingh expressed a desire to have a "Sunset Law" added so that if the City of <br />Hayward does not deannex the land in a certain period of time that it goes back to the way it was in <br />the beginning (Measure M regulations). At that point a different process would then start allover. <br />He felt this would not make other Councils incumbent upon dealing with the issue.
