~. MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE
PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE
AGENDA

There were none.

REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA

Mr. Swift requested that UP-90-27, Oil Changers, be continued to April 24; and
PUD-90-21, Roy Thompson, be continued to May 8. The Commission agreed to
these requests.

MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS

1 . ResDonse to inouirv from Commissioner Michelotti reoardino Rose Pavilion
Phase III.

Commissioner Michelotti thanked staff for responding to her question. She also
noted that at the Design Review Board meeting of April 9, discussion was had as
to whether Outdoor World will remain as it is now as a free-standing building. She
added it appears that modification can and may be made to do so, and had
concerns regarding the appearance of the building and adequate landscaping.

2. Commissioner Wright called staff's attention to a giant "For Sale" sign on
condos owned by John Ferreri. He also called attention to the restriping lines of
handicapped parking at Safeway. He noted that the space between lines did not
appear to be accurate. Mr. Swift indicated he would check on these matters.

3. Commissioner Horan called staff's attention to more window signage at the
BMW dealership. Staff will again check on this matter.

4. Commissioner Hovingh asked staff when and if the Commission will consider
the Community Facilities Report. Mr. Swift said they have copies of the report and
indicated they intend to present it to Council and the various bodies for review and
final recommendation as to a plan. The City Manager has opted to delay taking
the report to Council until the Capital Improvement Plan is in place.

5. Commissioner Hovingh also called staff's attention to the newspaper collection
box at W. Las Positas and Muirwood Drive. He noted that even though notices
have apparently gone out no action seems to be taken to remove the bin. He felt it
was inappropriate for the organization responsible for the bin to ignore notices and
the accumulation of trash around the bin.

Mr. Swift said that he will again call the Code Enforcer's attention to the situation.

,--.

MINUTES PLANNING COMMISSION APRIL 10, 1991 Page 2

..

-
