responsible for financing these improvements), took rifle to 2.8 acres of property north of 1-580,
west of the then existing Tassajara Road, within the City of Dublin. See attached map.

All the improvements have now been constructed and the property west of the property owned
by Pleasanton has developed. That property owner and the City of Dublin have now requested
that Pleasanton deed to the City of Dublin about 7195 square feet of the property and the
abutter's rights, including access rights, that had been deeded to Pleasanton in 1993.

DISCUSSION

In that this property is within the City of Dublin, and Pleasanton no longer has need of such
property, the request from Dublin is a reasonable one. Eventually, Pleasanton would like
Caltrans to take ownership of the remainder of this property and staff has had some discussions
with Caltrans about that occurring. In the interim, however, there is no reason not to quitclaim
this property to Dublin.

FISCAL IMPACT

There is no fiscal impact in taking this action.

RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the Council authorize the City Manager to sign a deed quitclaiming to the
City of Dublin all of the City of Pleasanton's rights, including all abutter's rights of access, to the
property shown on the attached map.

Respectfully Submitted,

Scott R.
