AS&NTONo City Council <br /> Staff Report <br /> <br /> June 7, 2005 <br /> Public Works Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT QUITCLAIM TO THE CITY OF DUBLIN PROPERTY ADJACENT <br /> TO TASSAJARA ROAD <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br /> Authorize the City Manager to sign a deed quitclaiming to the City of <br /> Dublin the City of Pleasanton's interest in 7195 square feet of property <br /> within the City of Dublin adjacent to Tassajara Road. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: In 1993, to facilitate the construction of the Santa Rita Road/Tassajara <br /> Road/I-580 interchange, as well as the construction of Dublin Boulevard, <br /> Pleasanton, acting on behalf of the North Pleasanton Improvement District, <br /> took title to 2.8 acres north of 1-580, adjacent to Tassajara Road, within the <br /> City of Dublin. Property to the west of a portion of this acreage has now <br /> been developed and that property owner and the City of Dublin have <br /> requested that Pleasanton quitclaim to the City of Dublin its interest to <br /> about 7195 square feet. In that the property is within the City of Dublin <br /> and Pleasanton no longer has any need for that property, it is in order to <br /> authorize the City Manager to sign a deed quitclaiming Pleasanton's interest <br /> in the property. <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br /> In 1993, to facilitate the construction of the freeway improvements over and along 1-580 <br /> between Santa Rita Road (in Pleasanton) and Tassajara Road (in Dublin), and in order to <br /> facilitate the construction of Dublin Boulevard to Tassajara Road (which construction was a part <br /> of a comprehensive agreement to construct freeway improvements and surface roads, <br /> Pleasanton, acting on behalf of the North Pleasanton Improvement District (which was <br /> <br /> SR:05:153 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
