Commissioner Horan told Mr. Kilroy he feels that Spieker Partners have tried to be very accommodating to the neighbors. In addition, the Commission is trying to restrict the use of the balloon. Mr. Snugg returned to the podium. Commissioner Horan said he is in favor of limiting the grand opening festivities to the immediate proximity of the business that is opening. He felt that businesses do need advertisement, but grand openings do not need to go on all year and that they can be consolidated. . Mr. Snugg said they have not had complaints before in regard to their grand openings, but they are willing to listen to any feedback from nearby residents. Mr. Swift said he is willing to let his staff meet with Mr. Snugg, Mr. Kilroy and the neighbors to try to come up with an appropriate type of banner, sign age, etc. so ~ that those things approved for the center would not be offensive to the neighbors. A motion was made by Commissioner Horan, seconded by Commissioner Michelotti recommending approval of Case PUD-89-6-3M, modifying Condition 2 of PUD-89-6 subject to the conditions listed in Exhibit B.
