Commissioner Hovingh called staff's attention to the BMW car dealership; they <br />again have a number of colorful signs up. <br /> <br />2. Chairman Mahern discussed with the Commission the City Manager's request <br />that they select a Commissioner to serve on the Downtown Committee. This <br />~ committee is intended to begin functioning around May 1 and is to include a <br />member of the Planning Commission; the Planning Department; City Council; and <br />the Parks Department. It is thought the Committee would meet every 2-3 weeks <br />in the evening for 6-8 months. The purpose is to review studies that have been <br />completed by the City, such as traffic circulation. Chairman Mahern asked that the <br />Commissioners look at their own schedules to see if one of them could serve on <br />the Committee and let her know within the next two weeks. <br /> <br />Mr. Swift agreed to see if it is expected that a member of the Design Review Board <br />should also serve on the Committee. <br /> <br />3.
