Commissioner Wright expressed concern about the condition of <br />the street at the Sports Park and asked staff whether it is <br />scheduled for repair. Mr. Higdon responded that staff is getting <br />ready to repair this section in the next few weeks. <br /> <br />2. Chairman Mahern commented that the Commissioners Institute is <br />coming up in the near future and recommended that they attend, if <br />possible, as much good information is available. <br /> <br />3. Commissioner Hovingh was concerned that the sign on a vehicle <br />advertising hot dogs is still there, and asked the status of <br />staff's investigation. Mr. Swift said the sign is actually <br />painted on the vehicle, so the Code does not apply to this <br />matter. However, parking will be restricted on that side of the <br />street so the situation should correct itself. <br /> <br />4. Commissioner Hovingh stated that he would like to appeal the <br />approval of the Lydiksen school sign. He did not think it is <br />appropriate for a residential area. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />5. Commissioner Hovingh noted that the Garms case has been <br />postponed until February 27. He would like it postponed until <br />Council has considered the Foothill Road alignment. Mr. Swift <br />said that Council is expected to take action on February 19 in <br />regard to the Foothill Road alignment. <br /> <br />6. Chairman Mahern asked staff if any progress has been made <br />regarding a meeting date for the Design Review, Planning and <br />Council joint workshop. Mr. Swift stated that the City Manager <br />is trying to find an appropriate date and is considering an <br />evening meeting. He said he would check with the Manager again. <br />Chairman Mahern suggested that Design Review and Planning may <br />have to meet without Council, but would prefer to meet with them. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS - PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />PUD-90-17. Sunwest Horizon - Suncrest Townhome Develonment <br />Application for Planned unit Development rezoning to rezone <br />approximately 2.3 acres of land from the Agriculture District to <br />the PUD (Planned unit Development) - High Density Residential <br />District and development plan approval for the construction of 27 <br />two-story townhomes located at generally east of the Old Santa <br />Rita Road Street intersection. <br /> <br />Mr. swift presented the staff report recommending approval of <br />Case PUD-90-17 subject to the conditions of the staff report.
