advised that staff adds construction hours only if they are modifying the City's standard from
8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Chairman Wright prefers a start time of 7
a.m. to allow the builders to avoid traffic delays.

Chairman Wright motioned, seconded by Commissioner Dove, making the PUD C"mdings
for the proposed development plan modifications and recommending approval of the
proposed PUD major modification, Case PUD-SO-16-4M, and design review approval of
Case PUD-SO-16-9D, subject to the conditions listed in Exhibit "B," with the following
modification:

Add Condition 4c. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS
Hovingh encouraged the Commissioners to view the Livermore Target pylon sign, believing
the sign is an example of a very bad sign and may be an example of what is wanted in the
future for Pleasanton. He believes more time should be spent on a signage program and less
time deciding the location of a building.

Chairman Wright advised Mr. Higdon that cars scrape over the driveway-sidewalk at the
second exit on Santa Rita (near Sprouse Reitz). Mr. Swift noted that a future expansion of
the Safeway store would be the time to fix this problem.

Commissioner Hovingh noted he had heard talk that the staging area will be taken out of
Golden Eagle Farms. He inquired of staff if that issue would come before the Planning
Commission. Mr. Swift advised it would come before them as a modification to the PUD.

B.. MA TTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW

fuL. Future Planninl!: Calendar
Mr. Swift advised that the agendas were light for December and does not believe the second
meeting of the month will be necessary. The Commissioners agreed to cancel the second
meeting of December (December 28th).

Planning Commission Minutes

Page 7

November 30, 1994
