MATI'ERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MF.MBRRS <br /> <br />Chairman McGuirk had the pleasure of awarding commendations to Commissioner Michelotti <br />and Commissioner Mahem for their service on the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Chairman McGuirk and Commissioners Hovingh, Wright, and Finch addressed <br />Commissioners Mahem and Michelotti stating their appreciation for their insight and <br />dedicated service and wishing them the best of luck in their future pursuits. <br /> <br />Commissioner Michelotti stated she has enjoyed being on the Commission and praised <br />Commissioner Mahem for her work as a Commissioner. <br /> <br />Commissioner Mahem stated that being a Planning Commissioner was the most enjoyable of <br />all her public work. She also thanked Commissioner Michelotti for being her mentor. <br /> <br />Commissioner Michelotti inquired of staff regarding the grading of Laguna Oaks. Mr. Swift <br />stated the grading is consistent with approved guidelines to add a certain depth of landfill to <br />cover native cultural deposits. He also advised that more archeological finds have been <br />discovered which could impact the grading. <br /> <br />Chairman McGuirk advised that many people are parking along the red zones at the Sports <br />Park. Actions of the Citv Council <br />Commissioner Hovingh inquired of staff on what basis R & S Landscaping could ask for a <br />code change. Mr. Swift stated they are looking into the possibility of a condition of approval <br />being added that states if the downtown area becomes more retail in nature, this business <br />would become an inappropriate use. <br /> <br />k.
