Ms. Swee am is concerned for her business being located next to a bar. She is worried about the 1a k of parking and the safety of the children being picked up and dropped off in the parkin lot. She believes the public will not park in the back lot and walk around to her front doo. Ms. Sweetnam is also concerned some patrons may become rowdy and potentially h s young children. In response to Commissioner Finch, Commissioner Hovingh read fr m Table 1 of the staff report that Ms. Sweetnam has 1160 sq. ft. and is allotted four parki spaces. In response to Commissioner Michelotti, Ms. Sweetnam and Mr. Ise son indicated that parking spots are not assigned. Commissioner Michelotti indicated at if a problem arises, assigned parking may be a way of solving it. Anne Salem, 3148 Thistledown Ct., co-owner of Valley Health Mill advised the Commission that she had moved her business to the other end of the center due to the lack of parking for her customers. She is afraid the barrier across the wal ay will block the flow of walking traffIc in the center. He d sn't believe the center needs a second establishment serving alcohol. Ann Marie Hauck, 3565 Gulfstream St., believes the image of the pIe using this type of bar is confused with the image of people at a bar serving hard alcoh 1. The people going to these establishments are upper middle-class, and she doesn't think th re will be a problem with potential harassment of dance students.
