Approval is also recommended for
the Tentative Map, subject to the conditions outlined in the staff re rt (Exhibit B.2).

Mr. Swift advised that letters from neighboring property owners we received subsequent to
the staff report and are referred to the Commission this evening. H noted that staff believes
the issues referenced in those letters are addressed in the conditions of approval of the
original PUD or this modification and/or the tentative map. Issues ave to do with the use
and management of the open space from a fire and rodent problem. Staff feels that the
conditions on creation of a fire management plan that is required to take place before the
final map is approved satisfies that concern. A landscaping/lighting district is now being
recommended for the maintenance of the open space giving the Ci an opportunity to
determine the types of maintenance that occur on the property, incl ding whatever action is
necessary for rodent control.

~

Planning Commission Minutes August 11, 1993

Page 3
