A negative declaration has een prepared for this <br />project and will be considered at this hearing. <br /> <br />Continued to 7/28/93. <br /> <br />g. <br /> <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />iv f, r <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Iserson presented the staff report, fecommending that the PI ning Commission review <br />and make recommendations regarding Main Street furniture. He advised that most of the <br />elements of the design plan have been approved; however, the s eet furniture (benches, <br />planters, trash receptacles, bicycle racks, and public telephone e closures) needs to be <br />brought back through the approval process. <br /> <br />In response to a question from Commissioner Wright regarding r uirements for handicap <br />accessible telephones, Mr. Iserson advised that if enclosed teleph ne booths are. used, <br />handicap accessible telephones would have to be located adjacent to telephone booths. This <br />is because telephone booths are not handicap accessible. <br /> <br />Commissioner Michelotti noted that the last time the Planning C mmission reviewed the <br />design elements for Downtown that there was no conflict of inte st for Commissioners who <br />owned property Downtown. Mr. Beougher stated that this was curate. <br /> <br />Commissioner Mahern inquired as to the color of the concrete b nches. Mr. Iserson <br />responded that the color will not necessarily be one of those sho n in the brochure, noting <br />that it would be of the same color family but a darker hue than e sidewalks. He stated that <br />it may be necessary to bring back the colors for review.
