He spoke. favor of the school <br />being located on this site. <br /> <br />Gloria Sheh, 2921 Garden Creek Circle, a junior at Amador High S hool, advised that she is <br />a youth member of the Tri-Valley Chinese Bible Church. She stat that the youth group <br />provides a needed support for the community and asked the Commis . on to approve the <br />application. <br /> <br /> <br />Liang-Tso Wu, 4308 Valley Avenue #G, asked the Commission to ow the establishment of <br />the church in the Tri-Valley area. <br /> <br />Tien H. Shen, 6143 Via de los Cerros, advised that he is not a me er of the church, but <br />that he believes the church serves as a community cultural center fo Chinese-Americans. <br />He noted that the nearest Chinese schools are located in Walnut Cr k and Fremont. <br /> <br />Jackie Byerly, 4966 Lapis Lane, stated that the church is the only c urch in the area which <br />offers bilingual services in English and Chinese. She asked the P . ng Commission to <br />approve the application. <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />David Hillyer, 975 Kolln Street, advised that he resides directly be nd 1051 Serpentine <br />Lane. He noted that there are three families in adjacent homes who have lived there since <br />1959 and 1960, and they have seen the policy set forth in the ord' ce for the Valley <br />Business Park drifting over time. He stated that he does not regard e church as a bad <br />neighbor, but he is disturbed about past, present, and future uses. <br /> <br />Mr. Hillyer commended Assistant Planner Steve Otto for the resear h he has done in <br />preparation of the report, and asked that staff look at seriously mono ring and enforcing the <br />policies that have been set for the Business Park. <br /> <br /> <br />a commercial! <br />nded that this is true and <br />er that has been located <br /> <br />Mr. Hillyer asked if it is staffs intent to "police" anyone operating <br />industrial environment in the Valley Business Park. Mr. Swift res <br />advised that a letter has been sent to the owner of the transporter/ <br />in the Business Park. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright referenced Mr. Hillyer's letter related to the andscaping and sprinkler <br />system. He noted that when he visited the site it appeared as if all e sprinklers were <br />inoperable.
