<br />Mr. Swift noted there is a long-term plan for a trail to go from Sy more Park to Shadow <br />Cliffs and eventually beyond that. <br /> <br />Commissioner Michelotti expressed concern that 5.5 acres appears be small for the <br />number of anticipated animals. Mr. Fagliano assured her that is pI ty of space as they will <br />be in stalls and fed individually. He pointed out that Sycamore Gro e stables have only <br />seven acres with at least 70 horses. Chairman Hovingh pointed out that this is similar to a <br />feedlot where many animals can be confined in a small space. Mr. wift stated the space is <br />adequate but does depend upon the quality of care given by the man gement as to how <br />sanitary such a situation is. <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />Commissioner Mahern expressed some concern that the applicant's roperty may be too close <br />to the Foley property and houses may eventually back up to the stab e area. Mr. Swift <br />indicated this is not a problem, as the Foley property is basically go' g to be kept as open <br />space. Mr. Foley has stated he does not want to develop that prope <br /> <br />Commissioner Mahern and Chairman Hovingh discussed the request to change the 30 ft. <br />setback. Chairman Hovingh expressed concern that parking demand may be greater than <br />the applicant and staff seem to think. He was reluctant to give up y space that could be <br />eventually used for parking. <br /> <br />Commissioner Finch felt that an 18 ft. setback would be more appro nate.
