<br />Chairman Hovingh addressed Condition lO.a. in regard to the pedes an pathway, Mr. <br />Swift noted that this was an informal pathway; however, it is being r located to the side of <br />the creek at the Fish and Game Department's request and will be a fi al pathway. <br /> <br />Chairman Hovingh further questioned Mr. Swift as to whether a pers n might walk on a <br />formal pathway to the 30-inch diameter oak tree on the west side of t e project. Mr. Swift <br />agreed that could be done; the pathway will then advance to the nort side of the creek and <br />end at the main street bisecting the project. <br /> <br />TIlE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED, <br /> <br />Brad Hirst, 6280 W. Las Positas Boulevard, represented the applicati n. He stated that he <br />has read the conditions of approval and has no problem with them. e noted that he has <br />worked extensively with the neighbors in Carriage Gardens and Rose inte and appreciated <br />the professional manner in which they conducted themselves. <br /> <br />Commissioner Michelotti questioned Mr. Hirst as to the previous dis ussion regarding the <br />time frame of the tentative map. Mr. Hirst stated that everybody scr bles to get the <br />tentative map done in time with the Growth Management approval. e felt that it would <br />make things easier for the Planning Department and the applicant if e two were concurrent. <br />He felt that based on what they know today it would make sense, an would save on cost and <br />paper work. <br /> <br /> <br />In response to Commissioner Mahem's question, Mr. Hirst said that e present time frame <br />for approval of the tentative map is all right for his project. <br /> <br />In response to discussion of a possible change in the tentative map ti e frame, Mr. Beougher <br />stated that normally a subdivision map has two years time for approv with a one-year <br />extension. He felt it was perfunctory to come before the Commissio after two years to see <br />if they are progressing. At that point, if they are not progressing, th Commission may wish <br />to reconsider approval of the tentative map. <br /> <br />TIlE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED, <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commk~ioner Michelotti, seconded by C mmi"sioner McGuirk <br />making the required rmdings for the proposed tentative map and pproving Tentative <br />Tract Map 6581 subject to the conditions listed in Exhibit B, <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Mahern, McGuirk, Michelotti, Wright, and Chairman Hovingh <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Planning Commission Minutes <br /> <br />October 28, 1992 <br /> <br />Page 6 <br />
