<br />~ applicant to hire Mr. Wilcox to hand dig the line as Mr. Wilcox is amiliar with where the <br />tree roots are. His main concern is that the trees adjacent to the lin s will not be damaged. <br />He said he would be willing to hand dig the line for $1,500. <br /> <br />Mr. Radanovich indicated he would be willing to work with Mr. W lcox. <br /> <br />Mr. Higdon stated it would be up to the Commission as to who doe the digging of the line. <br />Mr. Beougher and Mr. Swift agreed that a condition could be inclu ed stating that the work <br />be done to the "reasonable" satisfaction of Mr. Wilcox. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Radanovich returned to the podium. He said he had no proble with Mr. Wilcox's <br />request or with Mr. Augusta's request. <br /> <br />Commissioner Michelotti discussed with Mr. Radanovich the matter of several trees along <br />Stanley Boulevard. Mr. Radanovich assured her that during cons tion an arborist would <br />be on the site to make sure all necessary care is taken to protect the trees. <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED, <br /> <br />Commissioner Finch stated that overall he felt the applicant has put lot into the project site. <br />His main concern was that the soundwall be softened somewhat, an not be so high. He felt <br />that trees could also serve as a sound mitigation so that such a high oundwall was not <br />necessary . <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright expressed concern that they are stretching wh t should be affordable. <br />He felt they are going beyond the minimum by 30 percent nonconfo ance. When the <br />project first came through, he felt they were already looking at mini urn guidelines and now <br />they are looking at smaller garages, no parking for certain lots, alm st no back yard for <br />certain lots, smaller streets, etc. He felt they are now going beyon the "minimum <br />minimums." He said he could not support it at all at this point. <br /> <br />Commissioner Mahern stated she agreed with Commissioner Wright s comments and added <br />she simply could not see families having a home with side yards tha are only three and four <br />feet deep. She very much advocated affordable housing, but want people to be able to <br />enjoy their homes. She said she did not vote for it before and coul not vote for it now. <br /> <br />Commissioner Michelotti said she also did not vote for it before and felt it had been stretched <br />to the maximum when it was initially approved. She felt they are f rther stretching the <br />limits at this time and simply trying to make it conform.
