Commissioner Mahern requested information from staff regarding t status of the affordable housing project that was intended for the area near the middle schoo. Mr. Swift stated that the Affordable Housing Committee set up a procedure whereby the ity requested developers to submit proposals for a joint project between the City and the dev loper. That was done and a developer has been selected. The City Council has authori staff to begin negotiations with the developer, A.F. Evans and Company, to work out the details as to what project will be built and what the units will rent for.
