<br />Ralph Law, 940 Riesling Drive, presented copies of a document to he Commission and staff <br />protesting a proposed Rotary Club project at Concord and Palomin , which states that the <br />site is adjacent to a geotechnicallandside area. <br /> <br />For the record, Commissioner Finch noted that Mr. Law had conta ted him in regard to this <br />matter. <br /> <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Mr. Swift requested that Case AP-92-13/Z-92-49 Bottorff/Ben; and 'Addition of conditions <br />to tentative tract map extension approvals," be continued to Septem er 23. The Commission <br />agreed to this request. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Finch called attention to an area in Bernal Business P k in the arroyo where <br />there appears to be poor drainage. He noted that a large amount of gae and debris were <br />present. He requested that staff contact the right people in regard t this matter. <br /> <br /> <br />ley Boulevard and <br />that people have been <br />s in the past week; <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright called attention to vacant service stations on S <br />Main Street where dried weeds and trash is very unsightly. Mr. Swift stated that one station had cut the w <br />however, staff will try to contact someone about this matter. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright also called attention to an area between Rhee <br />Drive at the southeast corner where a pile of asphalt and other hard <br />up. <br /> <br />Drive and Stoneridge <br />ebris need to be cleared <br /> <br />Commissioner Mahern requested information from staff regarding th status of the affordable <br />housing project that was intended for the area near the middle schoo. Mr. Swift stated that <br />the Affordable Housing Committee set up a procedure whereby the ity requested developers <br />to submit proposals for a joint project between the City and the deve oper. That was done <br />and a developer has been selected. The City Council has authorized staff to begin <br />negotiations with the developer, A.F. Evans and Company, to work ut the details as to what <br />project will be built and what the units will rent for. Staff has had 0 e meeting with the <br />developer and anticipates that the Design Review Board will begin re iewing plans in the <br />next couple of months. <br /> <br />Commissioner Mahern further questioned Mr. Swift as to what will appen with the area <br />near the new Senior Center site. Mr. Swift advised that the City has not yet decided what <br />will happen with that area. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Chairman Hovingh questioned staff as to whether the Planning Com ission will receive any <br />information in regard to a request by Harry Niedecken asking that th neighborhood be <br /> <br />Planning Commission Minutes September 9, 1992 <br />Page 2 <br />
